FAQ's
Reservations
All of our tours require advance reservations. For same day tours you must phone us for reservations at 416-820-3111, but we cannot guarantee availability. Online booking should be done at least 24 hours in advance.
Cost
Our Nutshell Tour is $20.00. Our Villages and Vagabonds Tour is $25.00 including transit costs. Our Toronto the Green Tour is $15.00. All taxes are included. Students, seniors and children over 10 get a 20% discount. Children under 10-years-old are free of charge.
Payment
We only accept cash. No credit cards or personal cheques. Special arrangements can be made for corporations, organizations and large groups.
Meeting and Ending Points
All of our tours start along subway or streetcar lines – see the Tour Pages for a map and detailed transit directions. All tours have Ending Points with washrooms and restaurants nearby.
Rain or Inclement Weather
Our walks run rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather please call us at 416-820-3111 on the morning of the tour, after 8:00 a.m. to confirm our schedule. Walk T.O. reserves the right to cancel tours in the event of hazardous weather.
Wheelchair and Disabled Access
Our Nutshell and Toronto the Green walking tours are fully wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on the Villages and Vagabonds Tour because the Toronto Transit Commission’s streetcars are not wheelchair accessible.
Children
Curious and interested children are always welcome on our tours. As educators we believe that children will get a great educational experience from our tours – in history, the environment, architecture, diversity and Toronto culture. Children under 10 are free of charge.
Spot your Guide
Your guide will be sporting a Walk T.O. t-shirt and holding a sign.
Private Tours
Our three walking tours are available for private bookings on weekdays or weekends, morning, afternoon and evening. There is a minimum fee for private tours, please email us or call 416-820-3111 to make a reservation.
Bathrooms and Breaks
The Nutshell Tour and the Villages and Vagabonds Tour each include one midway rest stop with bathrooms. Toronto the Green tour is shorter and does not include a break, but washrooms are available at the start and end points.
Video/Audio Taping
No video or audio taping is allowed on our tours.
Smoking
We want to encourage a smoke-free tour, however, if you would like to smoke we ask that you please step away from the group.
Dogs
Due to the busy, urban environment of our tours, we do not allow dogs.
